We are looking for an assistant manager for our established boutique clothing store. It’s a unique experience - within a small business, you get to do it all. We are looking for an extremely motivated individual focused on providing a stellar customer experience. The success of small businesses is not closing a sale, but opening up a relationship. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity for development beyond an assistant manager capacity.ResponsibilitiesEnsure seamless day-to-day general operations - open/close, servicing customers, maintaining store cleanliness, managing office supply levels, handling calls and email inquiries.Attain proficiency with the point of sales system - sales, returns, customer accounts, and reporting.Manage Inventory – processing shipments, entering products into the POS system, stock room organization, markdowns, regular inventory audits, and tracking issues.Merchandise the store regularly to ensure product flow/movement and drive sales.Work with online manager developing content for social media.Strive for the ultimate customer experience and satisfaction levels.Manage sales consultants tasks and responsibilitiesProvide weekly progress status to Owner/Online Manager.Provide input on events/promotions.QualificationsMust possess competencies relative to the position.At least one to two years of retail experience is preferred.Ability to use Googe Suite, MS Word, Excel, and a point of sales system (Shopify is a bonus).Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and calculate currency conversion.Excellent written and oral communication skills, leadership and organization skills.Comfort with video and photo work on a mobile/smart device.Ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions with little direction.Must be comfortable working autonomously.Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends, early evenings and statutory holidays.Accept and execute duties assigned by the store manager (Owner).Hours and CompensationStart date TBD with the successful candidate.35-40 hours weekly18/hr - negotiable based on experience.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: From $18.00 per hourSchedule:
