Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands is currently looking for a hands-on professional general maintenance team member who will be acting under the direction of the Facilities Manager. A general maintenance team member will be required to perform installations, repairs, and replacements for the entire Casino. You will be responsible for keeping our Casino in top-notch condition.Other responsibilities include:Maintains life safety systems such as fire alarms, emergency power, sprinklers, etc.Performs active or preventative maintenance on all building systems as directedMaintains parts and equipment inventories; anticipates requirements; submits order requests to managerCommunicates effectively with all appropriate operational departmentsMaintaining a high level of professionalism while providing exceptional guest service at all points of contactBuilds strong working relationships with guests and employeesComplies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulationsPerforms other duties as assigned or directedSuccessful candidates will possess the following qualifications:High School DiplomaMinimum 2 years of experience in commercial maintenance including mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, network cabling and termination, drywall repairs, painting, furniture repairs, general facility repairsAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to remain calm and focused during emergency situationsAbility to handle multiple tasks and projectsPossess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel when requiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsSmart Serve CertificationAbility to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communicationCandidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and be available for emergency call-in when required. The hours of work will be based on operational and business needs.
