Registered Nurse II (Clinical Information Specialist), Temporary Full-TimeInformation Management and Technology, Facility to be determined, Gander or Grand Falls-WindsorDefinition of work: The Clinical Information Specialist will work closely with Managers and professional staff in the Health Protection / Population & Public Health programs. The primary focus will be to provide leadership and coordination in the implementation of the new public health surveillance system, as well as, to provide ongoing monitoring and support in this application.The Clinical Information Specialist will also be responsible for supporting managers and staff in all other aspects of Health Protection / Population & Public Health documentation in the CRMS application. The successful candidate will review documentation, ensure data integrity and quality for reporting to CIHI and work with managers to interpret Panorama, CRMS data, and prepare reports.The Clinical Information Specialist will be responsible for staff training, development and monitoring of documentation standards, and audit processes in all aspects of CRMS documentation for the Health Protection / Population & Public Health programs. The incumbent will integrate research and clinical evidence into practice.The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.Required qualifications:
