Job Description

General Manger position for our Personal Care Home in Gander - 100 Bed (Level 0, 1, 2 and 2.5)Oram’s Bethesda Manor is located in beautiful Gander, NL. It’s 100 bed, state of the art Personal Care Home. You will be working as the leader of a team of wonderful staff and residents, which can be very rewarding.

  • Responsible for the overall management and operating of the home.
  • Ensure all operational standards are adhered to as per Provincial Personal Care Home Standards; date as per Operational Standards, orientation/training and general management of staff.
  • Complete monthly statistics/reports for submission to Central Health.
  • Maintain schedule & arrange resident medical appointments.
  • Assist Doctor with weekly clinic and arranging schedule.
  • Assist new residents & family with admission & complete all required paperwork for Central Health.
  • Monitor resident care needs & works with staff, families, Central Health staff, physicians pharmacy & other professionals to ensure care needs are met.
  • Submit requests to Central Health staff on behalf of residents as necessary, example for supplies, footcare services, medical transportation, special equipment and dietary supplements.

Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week – Salary based Qualifications Include:
  • Previous management experience, preferably in a personal care home or related setting.
  • A nursing or Social Work diploma or degree would be preferred.
Wage and Benefit package to be discussed. This will be based on education and experience.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSchedule:
