This is how we at Prattamp; Whitney approach our work, and this is why we are inspired to go beyond.What our expectations areThe Industrial Engineeringamp; Capital Acquisition Specialist works onsite in the aircraft engine components manufacturing plant in Halifax NS. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and execution of the site manufacturing strategy through production equipment capacity analysis, creation of the long-term business plans, project execution, coordination of the shop worksites, completion of equipment supplier surveysamp; investigations. They form and manage multidisciplinary teams and are responsible for the project budget and schedule.What your day will look like- Complete capacity analysis for the production lines and propose action plans to adjust capacity in line with manufacturing demand- Oversee capitalamp; managed expense budgets for the facility and report out to local and central finance- Support the development of strategic plans for each manufacturing line including the introduction of new technologiesamp; lean transformation initiatives- Create business case documents, technical specifications and presentations aimed at securing project funding approval- Lead the acquisitionamp; implementation of capital projects throughout the facility, and link with central technology teams for higher complexity projects- Provide support to solve manufacturing problems related to quality, cost, safetyamp; delivery- Coordinateamp; follow EH amp;S Management of Change and Contractor Management processes- Commitment to EH amp;S and Quality objectives including continuous improvement principlesThe tools you need to be successful- Bachelor of engineering, or equivalent knowledge, trainingamp; experience- Experience in an advanced manufacturing environment- Demonstrated strategic planning and leadership- Strong communication and networking skills- Strong proficiency in using computer tools for analysis: Microsoft Office, Layout Software (e.g. AutoCAD), factory simulation- Working knowledge of SAP enterprise software- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation (considered an asset)- Bilingual English/French (considered an asset)What we offer- Long-term deferred compensation programs- Advancement programs to enhance education skills- Flexible work schedules, including remote work arrangements- Leadership and training programs- Comprehensive benefits, savings, and pension plans- Reward programs for outstanding workDiversity, Equity and Inclusion P amp;WC is an equal opportunities employer, seeking to promote diversity and inclusion.
