As our growth creates new career opportunities, likely there is the right one for you!Main ResponsibilitesGolden Concrete, part of the Interoute Construction Ltd. (ICL Ltd.) group, is seeking an Equipment Operator for its Golden operation. ICL Ltd. is a leader in the construction industry in British Columbia.The responsibilities of the Equipment Operator include, but are not limited toResponsibilities:

  • Capable of operating heavy equipment such as wheel loaders of various sizes and makes, skid-steers, backhoes, on a concrete plant and aggregate pit job site
  • Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficiently according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
  • Must be able to work well independently, self-motivated and driven
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate, and refill the equipment as necessary
  • Ensure that equipment is safely and securely stored
  • Capable of loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
  • Able to take and follow instruction from supervisor, adjust to changing conditions and communicate any and all needs to supervisor as well as working as part of a team
  • Capable of doing various tasks and labour duties as required
  • Knowledge of aggregates is an asset but not a requirement
Requirements:
  • A minimum Class 5 Drivers License (preference given to applicants with class 3or 1 license)
  • Must pass Drug and Alcohol test
  • 2-3 years’ experience operating a diverse range of construction equipment is required
  • 3-5 years in the construction industry preferred
