What will be your daily pursuit:Provide a safe, informative and exceptional experience for guestsWhat perks can you expect:Work in a dynamic, culturally diverse team from around the globeSeasonal work experience in iconic, unforgettable, and inspiring locationsFast-paced and active position – get your step counter ready!The chance to work in an inclusive culture and make life-long friendsOpportunities for career growth or future work at other Pursuit locationsAccess to one of the world’s most beautiful and iconic National ParksWhat will you do in this job:Ensuring the safety and exceptional experience for all guestsDaily opening and closing procedures of zipline, bridges, nature walks and swing courseSupervising the progress and experience of each assigned tour groupFitting harness and helmets correctly and supervising the use of all safety equipmentConducting pre-tour safety orientationUsing guest engagement skills to ensure a memorable experience for each guestBuilding excitement about the forthcoming experienceAssuring the safety and wellbeing of guests throughout each experienceConducting complete inspections of all course components and gearAssisting with course maintenance effortsInspecting all lines and platform for safety, cleanliness, and suppliesInspecting harnesses, pulleys, carabineers, and helmets for integrity and cleanlinessAssisting with weigh-in, waivers, and harness distributionDemonstrating how to carry gear and wear safety harnessContinuing to build relationship with guests throughout the experience by using communication skills to listen, engage, and converseAttaching guests to the cable and perform essential safety check every time before anyone zipsAssisting with the landing of each participant, insuring their safety on every approachResponsible for all gear safety and maintenance, including but not limited to washing, cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing the equipmentWhat skills and experience do you need for this job:Able to work at heights comfortably and in all weather conditionsCommunicate effectively with both adults and children in both group and individual settingsHandle stressful situations calmly and effectively along with being able to multitaskHave great attention to detail to ensure safety and overall positive guest experiencePrior experience with outdoor recreation, athletics, educational roles, high ropes instructor experience, or ziplining is a plus.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business instructions, technical procedures, or government regulationsAble to hike, climb, and rappel to and from high altitudesStrong upper body to pull self and the potential addition of 270 pounds more along each cable’s inclineAble to walk and stand for long periods of timeAble to decrease the speed of, and stop, guests of various weights and speeds as they approach each incoming landing pointWhat will your work environment be like:This fun summer jobs runs from June 2021 to October 15 2021Beautiful.
