Job Description

This is an Engineering Intern position, reporting to the local Team Leader. The Engineering Intern may conduct specified testing and report findings with a high degree of accuracy. This position will maintain confidentiality of customers, products tested and internal proprietary information.Communication with internal and external customers is prompt, courteous and effective.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, photograph, and document products for testing and assessment to international, national, and custom regulations
  • Perform and monitor product testing/assessments to applicable requirements
  • Collect and document test data in accordance with applicable test procedures and requirements. (In the form of a Test Data Sheet, graphical information, or others as defined by applicable project scope)
  • Prepare accurate Test Reports, Test Incident Reports and/or Technical Reports, to the appropriate standards and/or procedures
  • Ensure project timelines are adhered to, by completing work within the time allocated
  • Update Supervisors with ongoing project status, daily
  • Written and oral communication must be delivered prompt and effectively
  • Operate and troubleshoot test equipment
  • Validate equipment calibrations are in accordance with their applicable schedules, ranges and in calibration for the entire period used for testing
  • Report all equipment and test sample damage to supervisor immediately
  • Complete timesheets, daily
  • Adhere to all TÜV SÜD policies and procedures
Other Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and coordinate shipping and receiving of test samples, inclusive of all necessary documentation and internal logging and taggingprocedures
  • Ensure consumable materials comply with applicable requirements
  • Perform equipment verification checks as assigned
