Keywords: procurement, purchasing, management, reportingVolta Energy Solutions Canada Inc. is an under-construction greenfield investment which is aimed at producing high-end, compact, high-efficiency battery copper foil that helps increase the mileage of electric cars.Would you like to be part of setting up a new company by managing the overall procurement process for the company and the factory unit If your answer is yes, we are looking for you to join our team as a Produrement Manager.GOAL OF THE POSITIONCreate and maintain meaningful liaison with supplying partners to assure the constant procurement with rationale price and terms.Confer with related units proactively to determine the amount and type of materials needed and ensure that they are delivered to the manufacturing within agreed delivery schedule.Contribute to the team’s KPIs and colleagues, regular communicate with the management levels.MAIN TASKSGeneral· Comply with corporate, legal rules and corporate procedures· Ensure that standards are maintained in a process-driven environmentSpecific· Lead Purchasing organization to execute appropriate procurement procedures based on corporate and legal regulations, and improve it when necessary· Purchase of mainly for investment of the company such as facility, production equipment and other items as needed, track inventory, and coordinate with vendors regarding prices, forecasts and availability· Assist in preparation of bidding documents and ensure that other documentation is in order· Negotiate with suppliers, not only to achieve the best price, delivery and service items, but also improve strategies and tactics to deal with partners· Contribute with constant efforts to develop the functions and skills for purchasing system· Work with vendors, accounting and plant manufacturing personnel to resolve quantity, quality and pricing differences· Source competitive potential vendors and manage effectively the supplier chain· Monitor and all purchase requisitions and handle adjustments if necessary· Comply with corporate safety procedures· Ensure that standards are maintained in a process-driven environment· Maintain contact and files of all contractors used by plant· Encourages the emergence and representation of Volta values and expected behaviors within the company· Continually improve and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, market trend and rising environmental pressure· Profound understanding of procurement procedures, and related business fields such as battery and automobile industry· Use effectively of related SAP modules· Delegate the tasks on behalf of the Director when necessaryRegular report to the management with precise figuresEDUCATION· Bachelor degree· Business administration, economic, industrial engineering and related majorREGQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE· Minimum 7 years in purchasing field is recommended· Solid interpersonal and English communication skill, both verbal and written· Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools and other software required· French language communication both verbal and written recommended· Report skills with appropriate documentations to the management levelOTHERThe company is in its early stage of setting up and there are no relocation packages, so we are looking primarily for candidates within Montreal area.Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:
