Job Description

The OpportunityDo you enjoy working with leading edge technology The Geographic and Information Technology Solutions department at the City of Grande Prairie is looking for a talented individual to join us! As the technology evolves, so must our business which presents unique challenges to our Business Systems team to provide dynamic solutions with innovative ideas. Reporting to the Business Systems Manger, the ERP Analyst will be responsible for the technical support and maintenance of the Corporate ERP solution (Oracle Fusion) and other enterprise related systems. The right person will have a solid ERP application background and understand technical understanding, and application frameworks within a strategic municipal environment. Your role as the ERP Analyst will require you to ensure the ERP is kept current with the latest product releases, manage ERP security and user access, offer system reporting and application request management. Working in a dynamic environment, you will also collaborate with the team to articulate the needs of the user(s) with clear and concise database designs and application maintenance as required. The ERP Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring that the City of Grande Prairie is developing and deploying the highest quality ERP program that exceed the needs of our internal clients.*Responsibilities*The organization will look to you and your knowledge to delver on tasks such as:

  • Ensuring the ERP is kept current with the latest product releases through the monitoring and planning for scheduled system updates. You will need to perform system tests, evaluate the cool new features that are released, and support users by trouble shooting issues as they arise.
  • Managing the ERP security and user access. As a critical function in your role, you will manage the creation of user profiles in the ERP and associate the system access accordingly.
  • Your ERP system reporting skills will be relied upon to gather and document organizational reporting requirements
  • Monitoring of an ERP ticketing system will allow you to triage incoming requests, assign to appropriate resources, and manage tickets
  • You will also have the opportunity to expand your database knowledge to other corporate applications as required. Those tasks would see you offer SQL database expertise where required and to give you exposure to other corporate database systems.
You BringThe successful candidate will have strong customer service, co-ordination, and will be a strong team player.In order to excel in the role, you will need:
  • ERP solutions knowledge (Oracle Fusion preferred)
  • Finance experience as it relates to ERP systems an asset
  • Database design and management skill (e.g. T-SQL, Oracle)
  • Excellent logical and analytical skills
  • Organization and self-management skills
  • The ability to learn new technologies and applications
  • Actively seek improvements, and take the initiative to apply new efficiencies, simply processes and improve on tasks without waiting for direction.
  • Work as member of a larger team which is key to the success of the individual and to understand a broader scope
