We hope you choose Stringam as your employer of choice towards a meaningful career in law.The Opportunity: The ideal candidate may be located in either the Grande Prairie, Lethbridge or Medicine Hat office. Travel will be required. This position will report to the Director of Business Operations.Responsibilities include: ·Day-to-day management of HR Operations·Responsible for the recruitment process of all staff. Creating job postings, reviewing, and screening resumes, leading interviews, making hiring decisions (sometimes in collaboration with Partners and Lawyers, sometimes independently)·In consultation with the Director of Business Operations, handles performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and termination-related matters·Prepares all confidential correspondence (offer letters, reviews, termination letters, performance improvement plans and warnings).·Administration and communication of HR policies and procedures·Assists the Director of Business Operations in managing and administering the annual performance review process. Ensures Lawyer participation is at 100%·First point of contact for employee relations and employee questions·Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form·Maintain vacation coverage and calendars·Travelling to offices outside of the home-base officeQualifications: ·Minimum 2 years’ proven experience as a HR Generalist, HR Advisor of HR Business Partner·Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resource Management·Knowledge and understanding of human resource policies, employment standards legislation, and other regularity requirements·Customer focused and able to nurture positive customer relationships·Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information·Excellent communication skills as it relates to human resources·CPHR designation (or working towards) is an asset·Proficient in MS Office·Excellent written and verbal communication skillsCompensation & Hours: Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Regular full-time position with working hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM subject to change from time to time.
