Whether you’re out in the field or back at your office, you’ll be helping us achieve our vision of becoming the trusted global marketplace for insights, services and transaction solutions for commercial assets.We’re looking for a Refurbishing Coordinator to join our team in Grande Prairie, AB.The Opportunity:The Refurbishing Coordinator reports directly to the Yard Manager while supporting the management and sales teams in preparation for sales. The Refurbishing Coordinator will also maintain the duties of administrating the yard. The Refurbishing Coordinator will have an office based in the yard office.In this role you’ll:

  • Manage the maintenance of the auction yard including the fences, lights, and RBA owned equipment. Ensure the full-time mechanic is aware of any problems.
  • Manage along with the full-time mechanic the dismantle, loading, packaging and shipping any outbound container freight.
  • Manage the unloading and assembly of any inbound container based freight.
  • Develop strategies to increase the volume of refurbishing.
  • Manage customer concerns related to refurbishing.
  • Track refurbishing totals for reports.
  • Maintain a stock of necessary supplies for the yard staff and mechanics.
  • Manage the administration of the yard including the following:
    • Manage purchase orders for all yard expenses.
    • Coordinate with YM and CSM for completion of “Quarter-end” reporting.
    • Source providers.
  • Manage Before & After Photographs of machinery as it pertains to the refurb lots.
  • Manage along with the full-time mechanic any construction, renovation or retrofit projects pertaining to the refurbishing facilities.
  • Manage and maintain the service provider agreements with all refurbishing & third-party vendors including insurance and WCB renewals.
  • Manage the auction site’s relationship with the Paint Service Contractor.
  • Ensure that the Paint Service Contractor is in compliance with all of the conditions of the Annual Paint Services Agreement.

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Strong time-management skills and able to proactively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Work well in a team environment.
This job will require you to:
  • Work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
  • May be requested to work overtime and weekends during peak auction periods.
