Job Description

Overview:CDN Controls Ltd. is a fully integrated provider of instrumentation, electrical, automation, communication, combustion and emissions, and meter proving services throughout Western Canada. CDN Controls has been providing the oil and gas industry with the high-quality services needed for business operations since 2010. At CDN Controls, we understand that our employees are the biggest asset in our success, and we take great pride in selecting employees who are team orientated, driven and eager to succeed.Our growing company is currently looking to hire a Shop Hand - Parts to join our Supply Chain team, based out of our Grande Prairie branch. This role is a combination of shop, office and an outside work environment. Working hours are 6am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be a self motivated individual with a willingness to learn and grow personally and professionally with us.Responsibilities:As our Shop Hand you will be responsible for:

  • General parts shop maintenance.
  • Complete pick-up and delivery of tools and fleet as required.
  • Preparing company trucks for the field.
  • Preparing fleet and rental orders for shipments to other branches.
  • Tagging new equipment with CDN tags for tracking and identification purposes.
  • Participating in branch to branch asset audits as required.
  • Performing hotshot services as required.
  • Participation in the Valleyview run schedule as required.
Qualifications:
  • Relevent experience working in a shop is preferred.
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract.
  • Excellent trouble-shooting and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team and take initiative independently.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs and completing physically demanding tasks (Standing, Lifting, Bending, Twisting).
