What You Will Do:
  • Ensures a safe work environment, promotes a safety culture and actively works to achieve goal zero. Promptly reports every incident, near miss, or injury to leader as soon as feasibly possible
  • Lead in training customers, Technical Service Professional III and II as well as Sales personnel in an internal or customer facing environment
  • Act as primary trainer for new employees in team territory
  • Required to work with Sales team, District Managers, Regional Sales Managers, his/her associates and industry marketers and customers to support the implementation of industry/marketing plan
  • Responsible for development and deployment of best practices for numerous products and programs within an industry segment
  • Responsible for project ownership. Functions interdependently with increased versatility

  • Routinely solve complex customer problems across multiple product lines

  • Raise technical competency of Sales personnel
  • Project focused; ownership and accountability from scoping through to implementation
  • Attend CMT (customer chemical management team), CAT, etc. meetings to leverage opportunities
  • Proofing and editing recommendations of Technical Service Professionals III, II and Sales
  • Responsible for Customer facing presentations
  • Participate in account audits
  • Responsible for working with field organization to identify and capture the impact of company programs/applications/systems in clear financial terms
  • Work with field organization to identify needs, problems, determine effective solutions and help document specifications. Identify large account opportunities and coordinate with Key Account Managers and Sales Mgmt.
  • Provide support to TSP III and II as well as salespeople for more complex situations. Requested to support customer jeopardy situations
  • Participate in industry events such as AMPP conferences
  • Lead SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity, threat) Analysis
  • Work closely with current customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within team territory a
  • Assists in performing customer account management activities under the guidance and supervision of experienced sales professionals
  • Partner in execution of team territories sales growth plans in collaboration with Sales under limited supervision of senior leaders
  • Develops technically appropriate product selection to maximize profitability when recommending products and programs
  • Responsible for influencing, read and/or responding to RFPs (Request for Proposal) and Specifications
  • Engage in Health Check (audit) of accounts in team territory
  • Participate in sales calls at all relevant levels of the customer organization
  • Actively participate in sales campaigns across area of responsibility
  • Coordinate technical review of must keep and must win accounts
  • Collaborate with Sales, Business Development, Key Account Managers to identify external target business opportunities across team territory
  • Proactively audit junior representatives to ensure they have learned and incorporated safe practices while conducting field work
  • Participate in all types of field work, including sampling and testing knowledge, and transfer that expertise to more junior representatives through active training and coaching
  • Responsible for troubleshooting specific customer technical problems
  • Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels
  • Designs comprehensive treatment applications in team territory
  • Provide advanced recommendations for (multiple) product application and optimization. Highly proficient in troubleshooting, product selection, application, and articulating solutions to the internal and external customer
Position Details:
  • Candidate must reside in Grande Prairie, AB or surrounding areas.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • This is a safety sensitive role and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
  • No immigration sponsorship offered
  • Travel 20%, possible overnight travel to support team territory
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in a science or technical diploma in relevant field
  • 5+ years minimum industry experience.
Physical Demands:
  • Must have the ability to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 55 pounds chest high.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Effective time management, ability to multi-task
  • Experience in Technical Service or Sales specific to production chemicals
  • Experience in providing recommendations for oilfield product application and optimization
  • Recognized within the local industry as proficient in troubleshooting, product selection, application, and articulating solutions to the internal and external customers
  • Personality, attitude, behavior, and work ethic conductive to our company culture
  • Demonstrated ability to function with agility and interdependence and an advanced knowledge of customers, problems, and solutions across team territory
  • Demonstrated resilience to succeed over a wide range of broad, diverse situations across team territory
