They are transforming the process of royalty auditing and streaming fraud detection for the music industry that is expected to reach 1.2 billion paid consumers and generate $75 billion in revenue by 2030.They have emerged as a leading music technology company with deep domain expertise, customer empathy, and the technical ability to solve the most challenging problems presented by the explosion of streaming consumption worldwide.The company is on a mission to become the trusted partner of music labels and streaming services as the leading digital supply chain infrastructure provider for the streaming economy worldwide.Successful Candidates will haveDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Database Developer or similar role.Strong command and experience in SQL, including writing complex queries for data manipulation.Proficiency in Python, with experience in scripting for data processing and automation.Understanding of database management and data architecture principles.Experience with big data warehouse services such as BigQuery.Knowledge of distributed systems and cloud engineering, with experience in platforms such as GCP or AWS.Experience with transferring/transforming terabyte-scale data (ETL processes).Deep understanding of database schema design (partitioning, clustering).Familiarity with data security best practices.Nice to havesUnderstanding of software deployment processes and how to ensure they are seamless and efficient.Project management skills - setting realistic timelines and writing clear, concise tasks for team members.Knowledge of Apache Spark or similar big data processing frameworks.Experience in data pipeline building and data wrangling.Certifications related to data management systems or cloud platforms.Experience with containerization tools like Docker.PerksWorking on difficult problems with a team that will push your thinkingJoining a growing company with a strong foundation, leading in its fieldFrequent company events and offsites A flexible work environmentNOTE: need to come to the Vancouver office 3 times a week
