Job DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Director, FinanceTERMS: Permanent full-time (34 hours/week 4 days/week)REPORTING: Executive DirectorLOCATION: Based out of our Toronto, Montréal, or Vancouver office with 50% hybrid work (2 days in office/week)SALARY: 130,000-150,000THE ROLEThe Director, Finance spearheads the strategic direction of the Foundation’s finance functions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and financial best practices. Their primary role is to oversee the financial health of DSF, serving as a key strategic partner to the Board and Leadership team. Their insights and leadership are vital in shaping the organization #39;s financial sustainability and enhancing its capacity to effectively fulfil its mission.The role requires leading transformative changes to modernize and improve the organization’s financial systems and processes. The Director will lead, coach, and mentor a dedicated team of 4 staff members, and supporting vendors, overseeing daily finance operations, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and compliance. This role requires a collaborative and strategic senior leader with excellent communications skills to drive change processes. The Director will embody inclusive leadership, actively engaging in embedding equity, diversity, inclusion, (EDI) and anti-racism principles, and fostering accountability in themselves and others.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
