What you will be doing:
  • Consistently offer luxury service to our clients and guests
  • Direct and manage all activity related to the Banquet department, ensuring all service standards are followed and key performance indicators achieved
  • Lead and manage the banquet team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure all functions maintain a positive visual impact; including ambiance, décor and service delivery
  • Organize, plan and schedule for all functions in the banquets area of hotel
  • Oversee all aspects of banquet operations, including setup, service, and breakdown of events.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, hotel policies, and industry standards.
  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during event planning and execution
  • Liaise with catering and sales team as required for event sales and set up
  • Assume responsibility for all banquet facilities, including cleanliness, repair and maintenance, reporting any deficiencies as required
  • Attend pre-conference meetings with clients to confirm all relevant details are communicated
  • Follow the annual budget and administer it in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Ensure all financial reporting is maintained and accurate billing for each event is accurately recorded
  • Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
  • Conduct regularly scheduled departmental meetings
  • Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of banquet services and staff performance.
  • Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficiency and excellence.
  • Other duties as assigned
