As part of the leadership team, you will help drive change through the business by building projections and budgets that help ensure the company is operating profitability. Vitruvi has a small, high functioning team with in-depth knowledge and expertise in the category. The candidate #39;s decisions and analysis will have a direct impact on the success of the business. This role will work hands-on with the team and report to the CEO.This role is virtual.Qualifications:

  • Seven years or more of professional experience at the management level in financial analysis, reporting, and/or finance operations.
  • Deep analytical skills with ability to translate data and trends into key insights and recommendations.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to build and manage budgets, forecasts, models, etc.
  • CA, CPA, or equivalent designation
  • Strong communicator (written and verbal)
  • Capable of managing many projects in parallel with an ability to prioritize.
  • Experience with multiple reporting systems supporting sales of consumer goods such as: Xero (financial), Dear (inventory), Shopify (sales), and Amazon (sales) would be an asset.
  • Experience working in the ecommerce and CPG industry would be an asset.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the accounting process, mentoring team members and driving efficiency through financial operations and related processes.
  • Prepare and analyze specific channel P amp;Ls monthly to understand the unique business drivers of each revenue channel while working with channel managers (including contribution margin analysis).
  • Manage relationships with long term debt lenders, ensuring compliance with external reporting requirements.
  • Partner with the executive team in assisting with board reporting, inclusive of planning annual budgeting process
  • Drive various special projects, leveraging a broad knowledge of different functions, including Accounting, Finance, FP amp;A, Tax, and Operations.
  • Responsible for managing compliance with Canadian and US tax compliance, including PST, GST, Sales Taxes, Import, Payroll, etc.
  • Ensures timely completion of regular financial reporting, year-end reporting and corporate compliance. Develops and monitors internal accounting controls. Liaison with external accountants for year-end review and tax compliance.
  • Review the company #39;s cash position regularly and provide analysis and recommendations.
  • Partner with the executive team in all future capital raises (both debt and equity) along with M amp;A and strategic partnerships.
  • Maintain files on all contracts, leases, and agreements to ensure compliance with their requirements; ensure proper authorization has been obtained for all vendoramp; partner specific contracts.
  • Support people and culture decisions including oversight of payroll and expense policies/reporting.
