Job Description

The Client: My client are a leading Vancouver-based developer specializing in the construction and management of commercial and residential properties. With a strong track record of successful projects, they pride themselves on their commitment to excellence and innovation in the real estate industry. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a talented and motivated Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team.Your New Role:As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting my clients financial operations and decision-making processes. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing valuable insights that contribute to the strategic planning and overall financial health of the company. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior management to assess investment opportunities, monitor project budgets, and drive performance improvements.Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, financial forecasting, and trend analysis, to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for projects, departments, and the overall organization.
  • Monitor project financials, track actuals against budget, and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with the development team to evaluate potential investment opportunities, perform due diligence, and assess financial viability.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial models and business cases for new projects, acquisitions, and partnerships.
  • Provide financial support for lease negotiations, financing agreements, and other contractual obligations.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor business performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and provide strategic insights.
What You Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial software and tools, such as Excel, ERP systems, and financial reporting systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with large data sets accurately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present financial information and insights to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of real estate development and investment analysis is highly desirable.
