Job Description

DoubleJump is searching for a creatively driven person to join us as a Game Designer. As a Game Designer, you #39;ll be responsible for coming up with game themes, characters, mechanics, abilities, map designs, and more.About the project: We’re looking for a Game Designer to help us with our Minecraft Team. The selected candidate will be creating game design mechanics that will be watched on YouTube rather than played. This will be a remote, part time contracted position requiring about 20 hours of work a week.   • Work with YouTubers to come up with viral game ideas.
  • Building out game mechanics that are able to drive a narrative forward.
  • Write a clean and concise GDD.
  • Build out map, and UI wireframes.
Requirements
  • A college diploma in Game Design or equivalent.
  • 3 years+ of in video game production or related experience.
  • Experience working as a designer at other gaming studios
  • Experience with productivity software (Spreadsheets, Trello, Jira).
  • Ability to propose design solutions scoped for limitations such as timeline and resources.
  • Knowledge of current gaming and viral trends.
  • Self-starter who can think on your feet and manage your time efficiently.
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple objectives at once.
  • Ability to set priorities and deliver against deadlines.
