Job Description

We are currently seeking Heavy Timber Framing Carpenters to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated individuals with expertise in heavy timber framing and carpentry.As a Heavy Timber Framing Carpenter at New Hope Employment Agency, you will be responsible for constructing, erecting, and repairing heavy timber structures. This includes working with large timbers, utilizing traditional joinery techniques, and ensuring the structural integrity of the finished product. You will collaborate closely with the construction team to ensure the successful completion of projects.The ideal candidates for this position have a strong background in heavy timber framing, excellent carpentry skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, have good communication skills, and are familiar with industry best practices and safety standards.Responsibilities

  • Construct, erect, and repair heavy timber structures
  • Utilize traditional joinery techniques
  • Ensure the structural integrity of the finished product
  • Read and interpret construction blueprints and drawings
  • Collaborate with the construction team to ensure project success
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy timber framing
  • Excellent carpentry skills
  • Ability to work with large timbers and utilize traditional joinery techniques
  • Familiarity with construction blueprints and drawings
  • Detail-oriented with good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and safety standards
