As an intermediate software developer, you will be working with a talented group of developers to buildamp; maintain applications primarily with Access Databases, VBA, and Excel that will create an amazing experience for our customers and associates. We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.Apply now and grow your career with our Technology team as an intermediate software developer. What you #39;ll do as an intermediate software developer:

  • Work closely with the business stakeholders to resolve complex business challenges primarily using tools in VBA, Excel, and Access database
  • Approach challenges and projects with a flexible, team-first mindset and will actively collaborate with engineers and product owners
  • Work in our agile environment, where you will have plenty of opportunities to develop, test, debug, and demonstrate your work before it is published live
  • Take initiatives in proposing and implementing application changes to address business needs
  • Strengthen your leadership skills by giving technical direction to peers
What we #39;re looking for:
  • 3 to 5 years of development experience demonstrating proficiency with core development languages such as Java (J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate) and .NET framework
  • Experience with VBA, Access database and/or Excel macros nice to have
  • Experience with technologies like React, Redux
  • Experience with API-led development and microservices architecture
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases and SQL such as MSSQL, Oracle 12c+
  • Familiar with CI/CD pipeline and containerization platforms
  • Experience with data structures, algorithms, distributed systems
  • Bachelor #39;s degree or diploma in computer science and/or related discipline/experience
