Job Description

Location: Brampton, Ontario, CanadaJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent, On-siteSalary Range: $100,000 to $110,000Description:Our client is seeking Occupational Therapists in Brampton, Ontario. In this role, you will create and implement individual and group programs for people impacted by illness, injury, developmental disorders, emotional or psychological issues, and aging. Your goal is to help them maintain, restore, or enhance their ability to care for themselves and participate in work, school, or leisure activities. Additionally, you will develop and run health promotion programs for individuals, community groups, and employers.Work Week Duration:35 to 40 hours per weekJob Duties:

  • Evaluate clients #39; capabilities and expectations through observation, interviews, and formal assessments
  • Design intervention programs to address clients #39; needs in self-care, work, and leisure activities
  • Maintain accurate client records
  • Create personalized care plans as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Provide consultations and advice on health promotion programs to prevent disabilities and maximize independent functioning in all life activities
  • Supervise support personnel and students, providing necessary training
Qualifications:
  • Certified by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and in good standing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing medical education
  • Ability to manage a wide range of health issues in patients of all ages
  • High standards of discipline, punctuality, courtesy, ethics, and compassion
