Job Description

Job Scope:

  • We are looking for an Operations Administrator for our strong growing college and team.
  • You will be the face and a part of the day to day operations center of VanWest College located downtown Vancouver.
  • You will be a new addition to one of our fast-paced team in the company. Being in the Operations Team means that you will be working with executives, students, visitors, teachers, suppliers, vendors, and other staff members.

Here are how your work on campus will look like:
  • Open or close the campus (depending on the schedule).
  • Enforce and follow all safety regulations.
  • Greet and interact with ESL and Career college students.
  • Assist with new student intake, orientation, student ID, collecting student information, contract, insurance and etc.
  • Assist students with registrations, class change requests, textbook rentals, homestay issues and any other student concerns or inquiries relevant to the college.
  • Providing student follow-up reports on various situations.
  • Provide general counselling/advising to students.
  • Welcome walk-in and visitors and connect them with the right people at the college
  • Call and mail handling.
  • Draft letters.
  • Keep meeting minutes.
  • Filing, scanning and record management.
  • Assist teachers with classroom setup, technical issues, tests and teaching materials.
  • Manage petty cash, textbook deposits, and report.
  • Assist the Operations Administrators.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with ability to communicate in effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficient in spoken and written in English.
  • Proficient in another language would an asset.
  • Knowledge of other cultures and languages.
  • Experience working in education sector or in customer Service.
