Job Description

Location: Brampton, Ontario, CanadaJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent, On-siteSalary Range: $85,000 to $95,000 annuallyPhysiotherapists evaluate clients and design personalized treatment plans to maintain, improve, or restore physical function and mobility, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction. They work in hospitals, clinics, sports organizations, rehabilitation centers, and may have private practices.Work Week: 35 to 40 hoursJob Duties: Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing clients #39; physical abilities using evaluative procedures like functional ability tests to make physiotherapy diagnoses
  • Collaborating with clients to set treatment goals based on diagnoses
  • Creating and implementing physiotherapy treatment plans encompassing therapeutic exercise, manipulations, massage, education, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, and other modalities
  • Evaluating treatment effectiveness and adjusting plans as necessary
  • Providing advice on exercise and strategies for home implementation to enhance treatment outcomes
  • Communicating with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding clients #39; progress and needs
  • Maintaining clinical and statistical records and consulting with healthcare colleagues
  • Developing and executing health promotion programs for clients, staff, and the community
  • Conducting research in physiotherapy and offering consulting or education services as needed Qualifications:
  • Certification by the College Of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO) and in good standing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to ongoing medical education
  • Ability to manage diverse health issues across all age groups
