New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Privacy Consultant to help our client with the design and delivery of digital health tools and platforms to support the ongoing evolution of a connected health system and digitally enabled health care. This position will draft all privacy impact assessments and related documentation required to support the platform’s many complex privacy considerations. Responsibilities:Supporting the Documentation of the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA): This includes the development and writing of the PIA, along with any necessary amendments across multiple product releases. Each release may introduce new data/flow considerations for PIA approval.Collaborating with the Privacy Office: Regularly engage with the client #39;s Privacy delegate to report on documentation progress and identify any newly discovered risks or challenges related to the PIA. Assisting in Drafting the End User Participation Agreement: Work with Privacy to draft the privacy considerations that need to be included in the End User Participation Agreement for the product.Liaising with the Policy Team: Will be engaged on a need-to-know basis, particularly when policy developments have a direct impact on the PIA, such as the identification of gaps or issues requiring remediation in relation to the project.Participate in Work Meetings: Attend work meetings to stay informed about information collection, use, or disclosure related to the systems.Requirements:Experience advising and documenting privacy governance within the BC Health SectorActive and current certifications in Health Privacy Compliance (HIPAA, HCPC, et al)Experience working with EMRs, provincial registries and clinical informatics systems is preferredExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalIf you have this expertise, and are able to work in Canada, please submit your resume.
