About this team: The Sample Room team is responsible for the management of multiple product track development projects from initial concepting through design and working with the development team to problem solve construction and/or fit related issues. This team assists in the creation and commercialization of premium performance product ensuring it is performing for the intended end-use through garment fit and construction, and is meeting the required quality and production standards. A day in the life: • Partnering with designers, tech developers, pattern engineers, researcher, the entire sample room team to transform ideasamp; innovation projects into functional prototypes with efficiency • Creative mindamp; sharp eye for problem solving • Organizeamp; prioritize daily workload of assigned product • Develop complete patterns, cutters must (legend) to achieve design aesthetic, fit,amp; construction • Reading/editing patterns, applying knowledge of technical construction such as conventional sewingamp; bonding techniques to create functional prototypes • Identify, adjustamp; correct fit issues that require pattern corrections • Collaborate cross-functionally to monitoramp;maintain fit • Communicate any concerns or deviations on construction standards to ensure brand consistency • Refining ideas through multiple iterations via Gerber or 3D, integrating learnings from tester dataamp; feedback • Ability to cut and sew muslins for both live fitting and/or fitting on the form • Ability to fit on a live model in collaboration with Global Fit • Strong analytical thinking, writtenamp; verbal communication • Live into the practice of leadershipamp; ability to mentor Qualifications: • Patternmaking or Technical Apparel Degree • 5- 8 years minimum industry experience in pattern makingamp; garment assembly experience (preferably development through production) • Understanding of fit, balance, garment constructionamp; fabric reaction • Strong technical and fit knowledge of performance and ready to wear tailoring product (materials/fabric, constructionamp; body movement) • Strong team player/collaboratoramp; able to work cross-functionally • Knowledge of product creation calendar timelinesamp; able to work against deadlines • Proficiency in MS office (Excel/Word/Outlook), Smartsheet, Adobe Illustrator, PLM software, Gerber Pattern Makingamp; 3D software experience (CLO/Browzwear) • Experience with extended size market • Traveled toamp; worked with manufacturers across Asia, Americas, an d/or Europe Must haves: • D riven by both the technical and creative aspect of the product creation process • Attention to detail, initiative, organization, strong verbalamp; written communication skills • Ability to manage multiple tasksamp; competing priorities • Comprehensive knowledge of fabric, construction, drapingamp; graphic techniques • Skilled at technical communication with their cross functional peers via patterns, fit photosamp; 3D renderings • Knowledge of Pattern Grading • Comprehension of end to end product life cycle • Self-motivated, strong sense of urgencyamp; collaborative mindset • Ability to work and thrive in a fast pacedamp; cross functional team environment • Excellent time management, organizationalamp; creative problem-solving skills • Curiosity for changeamp; learning, capable of managing ambiguity • Participate in fit sessions for all products as required • Independently operating industrial machines including (and not limited to) Flatlock, Sergeramp; Coverstitch • Utilizing working knowledge of digital hardware such as laser cutters, pattern plotters, digitizersamp; willingness to learn how to operate new machinery/programs • Working proficiency in English language
