The Stanley’s Bar and Grill Restaurant Server is part of the team responsible for excellent guest and food service.Main duties include: greeting guests and contributing to a positive experience by connecting with them, offering excellent product knowledge, beverage optionsamp; pairings, as well as providing local area knowledge, maintaining proper food handling procedures, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, following opening and closing procedures and providing a seamless experience.Who we are:

• $17.40 per hour

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for full table service (order taking, food running and bussing tables)
• Prepare and deliver all beverages in a timely manner, follow wine service steps as needed
• Ensure quality assurance checks are completed in a timely manner
• Anticipate Guests’ needs and search for ways to increase Guest satisfaction
• Efficiently operate restaurant POS and complete cash-out at end of shift.
• Maintain a positive, team oriented work environment
• Follow all HAACP and Food Safe requirements
• Follow all procedures outlined in the Team Member Handbook
• Be knowledgeable and promote the Capilano Group of Companies
• Promote a safe work environment paying particular attention to food and drink safety
• Take reasonable care to protect your own, co-workers and Guest’s health and safety
• Be alert to hazards and immediately report any concerns of yours or our guests to your supervisor
• Ensure your ability to work without risk to your health and safety or any other person’s safety is not impaired by alcohol, drugs or other causes

Qualifications:

• One (1) year of serving experience
• Food safety certification is an asset.
• Must have current Serving It Right certificate
• Strong communication skills, multilingual is considered an asset
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
• Positive attitude and a strong desire to provide experiences Guests are amazed by
• Ability to work with team members professionally and with respect.
• Working with the team and supporting one another to achieve company goals.
• Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs, climb a step ladder or climb a step stool
• Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business
