Job Description

On behalf of our client in Vancouver, Ignite Technical Resources is looking for Senior AWS Cloud Architect with our client for a 12months contract with multiple extensions.Summary of Role:Client is planning and undertaking number of projects to migrate and operate various information technology workloads to AWS Public Cloud Platform which require various a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to deliver AWS Cloud Design, Implementation and Support services in a hybrid environment of on-prem and AWS public cloud platform.Responsibilities:

  • Validate existing technical design and deployments to ensure secure and highly available services;
  • Design and update cloud architecture and assist in the migration of workloads in the production for effective user log in;
  • Advise management team during implementation process of project and monitor all cloud related activities;
  • Assist in establishing a cloud sustainment team within IT department
  • Lead cloud infrastructure development team;
  • Liaise with security consultant to ensure the cloud configuration is compliant with client #39;s Security Control Framework;
  • Work with IT Finance team to ensure that sufficient financial controls are in place;
  • Liaise with Enterprise Architecture and IT Solutions on application remediation required for cloud migration;
  • Assist in the operationalization of the cloud infrastructure procedures and processes.
Qualification:
  • 15 years of IT experience. 5 years previous experience as a Solution Architect on AWS platform
  • AWS certified Solution Architect and other relevant certifications;
  • Extensive knowledge of architecture and security of financial applications, automation and privacy.
  • Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman or similar;
Desirable Requirements
  • Excellent working knowledge about all areas of infrastructure management;
  • Excellent knowledge in Infrastructure Security;
