About DDS WirelessDDS Wireless International is celebrating 35 years as a leader providing transportation industry solutions. We are an innovative developer of software as a service (SaaS) products and services and wireless hardware devices for the Transit and Taxi market segments. We have a global presence with offices in Richmond, BC, Canada; Redmond, Washington; Oxfordamp; Cambridge, United Kingdom; Stockholm, Sweden; and Tampere, Finland.As the leader of the Finance team, the Senior Manager Accountingamp; Finance is responsible for overseeing all DDS Wireless International finance functions. This individual will be responsible for external/internal reporting, financial planningamp; analysis, taxation, and controllership functions (accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury). In addition, they will act as a true partner to the business in leading a culture of data-driven decision making, centered around analysis with a focus on return on investment as we implement our growth strategy. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of accounting and finance across the organization.
  • Lead the month accounting cycle (including AR.AP, Bank Reconciliations, month-end closing procedures) and reporting to the CEO.
  • Plan direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions and prepare internal financial statements and monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting.
  • Responsible for FP amp;A; prepare the budget and forecast; monitor and analyze monthly operation results against forecast.
  • Oversee implementation of internal controls, identify areas for improvement and implement all necessary financial policies and controls.
  • Manage filing of corporate and sales taxes for all business entities; ensure on-time month end closing and tax reporting.
  • Coordinate preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting global business entities.
  • Provide financial and operational metrics and analytics to CEO and the leadership team.
  • Lead and manage operational and financial risks and take proactive approach to mitigate them.
  • Increase the company ability to anticipate business issues and drive good decision making through sound financial management and controls.
  • Experience in government funding; lead and satisfy all SRED/IRAP filing requirements.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to the accounting team.
  • Responsible for real estate, including leasing.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, identify opportunities to improve operational and financial efficiencies.
  • Lead and manage all cost saving initiatives across the organization.
  • Responsible for treasury and cash management.
  • Represent the organization externally with insurance providers and accountants.
Qualificationsamp; Requirements
  • University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, CGA)
  • Master’s degree or MBA is an asset
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience of progressively responsible finance/accounting roles, ideally in a SaaS, B2B or B2C environment, with a minimum of 5 years in a Sr. Management or leadership role
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively work with all levels of the organizations including the CEO and Executive Director.
  • Highly experience in business modelling
  • Solid experience leading, managing and expanding accounting and finance departments in a fast- paced environment.
  • Fully familiar with complex budgets, forecasting, internal transactions, and executive presentations.
  • Strategic thinker that can think outside the box, focused on efficiency and improving existing processes.
  • Ability to handle a large volume of work with tight deadlines and ad-hoc requests as required.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial reporting requirements.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
