Note: This role is initially offered as a temporary contract covering a maternity leave, expected to last approximately 12 months. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our product and developing best-in-class quality assurance processes.Note: This is a hybrid contract opportunity for someone based in Vancouver, BC (50% in our beautiful water-front Gastown office, 50% from home).RequirementsWho you are

  • You have 3+ years of experience testing web and mobile applications
  • You have experience working in an Agile development environment and within a Scrum team
  • You have experience with automation frameworks e.g. Selenium
  • You are a skilled communicator, both written and verbal
  • You have experience working directly with development and customer support teams
  • You have experience reading and comprehending technical documentation
  • You are passionate about great products. You notice the small details and have an analytical approach to solving problems
  • You question the status quo, take ownership of your work, and proactively identify and address issues and opportunities
Bonus points for
  • Having worked with a development team supporting a SaaS solution
  • Detail for UX and UI, experience with design concepts
  • Proficiency using Jira
  • An understanding of basic development concepts (i.e. the ability to interpret and describe errors, for example using browser tools to get a console error)
  • Experience with developing and executing tests leveraging an API
  • Experience developing enterprise QA frameworks or process
What you #39;ll do
  • Become a product expert quickly and deeply understand how our product works
  • Work on an Agile team and attend daily stand-ups, sprint planning meetings and sprint retrospective meetings
  • Ensure the quality of our product, validating any features or updates made by our development team
  • Build on our internal knowledge base on QA best practices
  • Create and contribute to maintaining our test strategies as part of the ongoing effort to improve the overall quality of the product
  • Act as a bridge between the development and customer support teams and help promote a better understanding of the business rules
  • Assist the customer support and onboarding teams in investigating platform bugs
  • Write documentation and test scenarios
  • Implement automated testing based on our guidelines
