Job Description

We #39;re poised to expand further by establishing a robust sales function to drive business growth and market expansion. Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead our recruitment efforts in North America. This role, based in Vancouver, Toronto or remote across Canada, will be pivotal in sourcing and recruiting top talent for our expanding operations in the North American market. As the first hire in Canada, you will also be responsible for building and leading a recruitment team in conjunction with our Chief Business Officer.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Recruitment Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive strategies to attract top talent in the North American market.
  • Manage Recruitment Pipeline: Oversee the entire recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, conducting initial screenings, managing hiring exercises, scheduling interviews, and overseeing the onboarding process.
  • Team Building: Lead the recruitment team build-out, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with the Chief Business Officer to ensure the recruitment strategy supports overall business objectives.
  • Fill Key Roles: Successfully fill 5 to 15 roles within the first year, focusing on high-quality hires that meet the company’s needs.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data-driven decisions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, preferably within the technology or software development sector.
  • Strong understanding of the North American job market and recruitment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in building and leading recruitment teams.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
