SummaryPosted: May 2, 2023 Weekly Hours: 37.5 Role Number:200474819 As a back-end engineer on the Xcode Cloud Integrations team, you will work on Apple’s internal CI tools and services which are used to build and test various components of Apple’s operating systems at scale. You will also work on the integration of Xcode Cloud with external systems like 3rd-party SCM providers and communication platforms like Slack. This provides a unique and rewarding opportunity to shape the future of Apple platform development. You will contribute to a suite of tools used by engineers at Apple as well as millions of developers around the world to build, test and deliver software for Apple #39;s iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS and macOS platforms. Xcode Cloud is a continuous integration and delivery service built into Xcode and designed expressly for Apple developers. It accelerates the development and delivery of high-quality apps by bringing together a variety of cloud-based tools and services. We also support Apple’s engineers with a variety of internal CI systems and services that help to ensure the quality of the software we deliver to Apple’s customers. Key Qualifications

  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • A passion for driving modern software engineering practices and a deep understanding of software design principles and architecture
  • Professional experience building distributed systems using modern cloud technologies (e.g. Java/Scala/Kotlin, containers on Kubernetes)
  • Experience communicating with customers, collaborating with technical/design teams, leading high-impact feature development and mentoring engineers
  • Be a considerate, thoughtful and collaborative contributor
DescriptionThe Xcode Cloud Integrations team is seeking a self-motivated back-end engineer to help us build the future of developer technologies at Apple. You will join a small but ambitious group of engineers responsible for building new features and services that power Xcode Cloud as well as contributing to our internal CI systems and services. You will collaborate with Apple #39;s internal software engineering teams to take Apple #39;s own software to the next level, as well as providing great new features to Apple #39;s external developer community. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for streamlining and automating developer workflows, a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and be enthusiastic to learn the details of our domain. In this role, you will be working closely with the other teams that produce Apple #39;s external and internal developer tools as well as driving projects independently to deliver meaningful impact. You will also be collaborating with Apple #39;s internal software organizations to ensure that Xcode Cloud meets their needs; deeply understanding these internal customer scenarios and advocating for them throughout the software development lifecycle.   • * Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges
  • * Good problem-solving/debugging skills and an understanding of distributed system design and event-driven architecture
  • * Experience with Java, Kotlin or Scala
  • The following are nice to have, but not required for the role:
  • * Experience in the entire software development life cycle including design, implementation, deployment and monitoring
  • * Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment workflows and tools
  • * Familiarity with Python or Swift on Server
