The OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced Collison Centre Manager to join our growing team, based out of our Mercedes-Benz Rive Sud, dealership. You will play a crucial role in leading the team of associates who facilitate the completion of work required to reunite customers with repaired or restored vehicles. Leveraging your extensive leadership skills & knowledge of the vehicle repair process, you will be accountable for meeting the collision centre’s annual financial performance goals.Your Opportunity
  • Manage day-to-day business operations to achieve optimal results in all financial performance categories
  • Oversee workflow within the collision centre to ensure repairs are completed on time while maximizing shop efficiency
  • Develop annual budgets and strategy (revenue and expense forecasting)
  • Monitors accounts receivable (AR) and collect funds for repair work
  • Write estimates and provide ongoing coaching to the estimating team
  • Prepare final billing documentation, invoices and complete other various reports
  • Monitor performance metrics in all departments
  • Celebrate team successes and cultivate a positive culture of excellence
  • Utilize performance metrics in all departments to enhance operational success
  • Conduct effective meetings and one on ones with team members
  • Provide constructive coaching, feedback and communicate department goals and expectations in a manner that ensures team member success
  • Hire, train and manage collision centre associate performance
  • Own providing exceptional customer service to our valued clients
  • Manage professional relationships with suppliers, clients and dealerships
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with insurance adjusters at several insurance companies
  • Own and champion a healthy and safe work environment ensuring that all safety standards, policies, procedures and compliance requirements are communicated, implemented and followed
Your Capabilities & Credentials
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Collision Center, Production manager, Estimator or previous experience in a leadership capacity in a production environment
  • Post-Secondary education in a related discipline would be considered an asset
  • Must have previous experience being a leader and in building and mentoring a successful team
  • Strong understanding of collision centre and/or dealership operational practices, budgeting and expense management
  • Strong understanding of Dealership accounting practices, budgeting and expense management
  • A detailed understanding of service and parts operations
  • Ability to be professional and deliver exceptional service to clients
  • Excellent people management skills such as leadership, team development, interpersonal, coaching, mentoring, and supervisory skills
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, combined with the ability to interact and gain the support of senior leadership and other decision makers
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage priorities, perform a variety of tasks and meet required deadlines and targets
  • A person of high integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honors their commitments
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and resourceful
  • Results-driven and career focused individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to be successful
  • Understanding of Provincial Safety code requirements for dealerships
  • Excellent skills in Mitchell Connect, Audatex and Mitchell Repair Centre
  • Highly skilled in standard office software (MS Office, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and a safe driving history
