Powered by passionate people, we bring the right teams with the right skills together – offering both experience and regional expertise so companies can operate their day to day, confidently and successfully.Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Person reports directly to the Maintenance Manager, performs tasks involving physical labour within the plant. They must have a good general knowledge of hand and power tools.The Maintenance person performs some or all of the following duties;

  • Repairs and maintenance of building and equipment assets.
  • Working within a preventative maintenance plan.
  • Performing minor repairs and maintenance on a wide range of equipment and tools.
  • Performing basic carpentry tasks.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving basic repairs.
  • Some administrative duties involving documenting repairs and adhering to maintenance protocols and schedules.
  • Inspection of Fire Equipment
  • Requires successful completion of man lift, fork lift and fall protection certifications.
  • Cleaning and storage of tools and equipment and cleans work sites.
  • Wears required Personal Protective Equipment at all times and adheres to all legislative and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Must have achieved at least a high school diploma
  • 1-3 years experience in a related industrial or construction environment
  • Must be physically fit, able to lift 50 lbs comfortably
  • Must have basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks
  • Able to demonstrate good organizationl, time management and decision-making skills
  • Able to manage a fluctuating workload, set priorities to meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must hold a valid drivers license.
  • Must have own tools.
