Powered by passionate people, we bring the right teams with the right skills together – offering both experience and regional expertise so companies can operate their day to day, confidently and successfully.Job DescriptionWHATS THE JOBJoin our NRB Modular Solutions team, where our people are driven by a desire to innovate, do social good, and move construction forward.Reporting to the Manager, Projects, the Project Coordinator (Co-op Student) assists in the overall technical planning of a project to ensure that the project is constructed in a timely, cost-effective manner in accordance with the contract and the appropriate design and construction standards. The Project Coordinator will conduct detailed plan and specification reviews, coordinate permitting requirements, coordinate site inspections during construction and monitor the work of inspectors, architects, other consultants and subcontractors where applicable.Your work will include:

  • Coordinating tasks with the project team, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
  • Supporting the Project Manager in in ensuring all scope and contract extras are approved by the customer, pre-construction activities, handling all change orders, contract close out.
  • Preparing/verifying progress billings to owner and from subcontractors, and monitoring progress.
  • Completing drawing takeoffs and BoM for procurement and preparing Purchase Orders for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Preparing and issuing meeting minutes, to both internal and external stakeholders and keep a record of document controls.
  • Coordinate client product approval with Supply Chain while documenting impacts to the budget, schedule or deviations from the contract and the relevant design and construction standards;
  • Support project activities throughout the project lifecycle, acting as a liaison amongst the internal stakeholders and external stakeholders including the client;
  • Participate in kickoff meetings and coordinate handover documents with internal stakeholders throughout the various project phases;
  • Coordinate procurement of construction subcontractors or materials with Supply Chain ensuring timely delivery and accuracy in accordance with the terms of the contract. Review subcontractor quotes and provide recommendation to Project Manager and Supply Chain.

  • A construction or architectural specific technical diploma/degree (in progress) or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience is preferred.
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license.
  • A person who is flexible work as schedule, potentially requires work on evenings and weekends.
  • Strong computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
