The individual must be a licensed professional engineer in the Province of Ontario or eligible to obtain it.Key Responsibilities

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized college or university required
  • Licensed professional engineer in the Province of Ontario, or ability to obtain one
  • Minimum of 5-years in manufacturing environment in North America
  • Familiar with industry standards, codes and regulations as applicable to manufacturing environment
  • Experience with mechanical systems such as but not limited to:
o air compressors and compressed air distribution systemso water and air cooled chillers, air handling equipment (fans, make up air units)o cooling towers and evaporative air coolerso natural gas burning equipment, heat exchangers (air to air, air to water, water to water)o pumps and pumping systems, process and potable water distribution systemso process water treatment systems (reverse osmosis, ion exchange demineralization systems, electrodeionization)o paint spray booth air handling systems operation and paint detackification processes and systemso bake oven systems and equipmento air emissions abatement RTO (regenerative thermal oxidizers)o injection moulding cooling and heating systemsKey Qualifications/Requirements
  • Responsible for plant wide mechanical project work
  • Lead the execution of all mechanical deliverables required for the successful completion of engineering projects
  • Provide engineering and maintenance services/support to maintain the safe and operational capability of plant equipment
  • Generate RFQ and RFPs for facility and equipment changes
  • Manage external contractors and audit all studies and recommendations
  • Initiate and execute Continuous Improvements ideas and proposals
  • Other duties as assigned
