Current Rate of Pay: Min $24.22- Max $ 24.85 Current Shifts: 12 hours, All Shifts Position Summary: Within the context of a patient and family centered care, the Porter transports patients of all ages with a wide variety and complexity of illness and injury, including deceased patients, between various areas within the hospital. Duties include transporting/escorting patients, along with their families, to and from required areas using stretchers, wheelchairs and beds and assisting nursing and technical staff with the transferring of patients, as required. The Porter maintains cleaning supplies for stretcher cleaning areas, and cleans equipment and morgue and other areas as required. The Porter picks up and delivers equipment, supplies, specimens, blood products and other items as assigned.
