Job Description

Busy Millwright contractor seeking a dedicated Purchaser to oversee the procurement of materials, supplies, and equipment essential for the seamless execution of our projects. Our success relies on the ability to source cost-effectively and ensure timely delivery.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure materials, supplies, and equipment required for various projects
  • Negotiate favourable pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing
  • Maintain an accurate record of purchases
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to forecast material, supply, and equipment needs
  • Monitor market trends and identify potential cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines
  • Resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing with suppliers
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Prepare and process purchase orders
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Purchaser in a similar industry
  • Strong understanding of the materials, supplies, and equipment required
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
