We work collaboratively with the business areas we support across the Group COO ( quot;GCOO quot;) division to support colleagues in identifying, reporting and mitigating risks, helping to transform the bank in a safe and compliant way.What would you be getting involved with

  • Work with Controls Design Lead and Managers to support the delivery of the controls design service
  • Provide guidance to control owners on failed controls and remedial actions to ensure these are addressed properly
  • Maintain knowledge of RCSA system and handbook to support control owners, if required
  • Engage with relevant business units to support identifying potential areas for automation and/or process improvement
  • Work with Controls Design Lead and Managers to increase levels of automated controls across the division
  • Support change projects on controls design opportunities
  • Work across the Control Office to ensure awareness of and identify opportunities of collaboration
  • Through analysis of MI and controls data, provide inputs and insight to be reported and shared with the business

  • Awareness of control frameworks associated with both traditional and new emerging technologies, cloud, cyber and change
  • Awareness of business process re-engineering including applying waterfall/agile methodologies and design thinking (Prince2/PMP/BCS/Lean Six Sigma etc.)
  • Understanding of technology tooling to support new innovation within the risk and control landscape (PowerApps/ServiceNow/MetricStream etc.)
  • Understanding of innovative approaches of using technology, data and automation to enhance control environments.
  • Good technology change management skills and experienced in collaborating with multiple colleagues to drive action and delivery
  • Have broad knowledge of common industry control frameworks (COBIT, NIST, CSA CCM etc.) and regulatory requirements (SOX etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills with a track record of engagement with colleagues at all levels
  • Risk management experience in financial services sector, Fintech sector or technology sector with understanding of operating in a regulated environment
