ABO Wind is a globally successful renewable energy project developer with more than 1,000 employees. Since 1996, the company has developed and sold wind, solar, storage, and biogas projects with a capacity of more than 5,000 megawatts. We have also constructed approximately half of these projects. Our mission is to create and foster a culture that exemplifies teamwork, embraces innovation, and values equity, diversity, and inclusion to achieve excellence in our people and our projects, and to promote our values with the contractors and service providers that work with us.Qualifications· Knowledge of multi-provincial and federal government regulatory requirements related to renewable energy development is a must and mandatory; experience in multiple provinces is an asset· Experience working with local First Nations and Indigenous communities is mandatory· 8+ year professional record of regulatory, permitting, environmental, energy and interconnection project experience· Professional Biologist preferred but not mandatory· Must be organized and able to manage and prioritize several projects at once· Strong technical, communication, analytical and organization skills, particularly with government regulatory agencies· Enthusiastic about the future of renewable energies and dedicated to pursuing a career in sustainable energy· Academic degree or technical diploma preferably with a discipline in sustainable energy, planning, or environment· Ability to accurately record, prepare and review technical documentation· Ability to problem solve and manage priorities working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Responsibilities· Under direction of Canada #39;s Environment and Regulatory Lead (the Lead) and Project Senior Management, drive the regulatory and permitting schedule for Project Toqlukuti #39;k (the Project) and potentially support Atlantic Canada pipeline, as needed and under direction of the Lead· Support senior staff in permitting of federal, provincial and municipal permits associated with the Project· Support regulatory database and due diligence reviews for future partners or investors into the Project· Support and provide oversight of biophysical baseline studies for all baseline environmental features (e.g. wildlife, wetlands) associated with the Project· Accountable to maintain strong relationships and information exchange with local, provincial and federal regulators associated with the Project· Work in collaboration with Canadian Directors and theLead to monitor local and regional (including environmental) initiatives relating to regulation and changes to regulatory requirements for the Project and Atlantic Provinces· Support Project Senior Management in overseeing, updating, and executing project environmental budgets and schedules relating to regulatory requirements and timelines for the Project· Some local travel and site visits will be required· Paid vacation, flex days, Health Care, and Life insurance· Friendlyamp; professional atmosphere· International non-hierarchical working culture in a European-based group of companies· Hybrid work environment possible· Working temporarily from ABO #39;s other worldwide subsidiariesWe are looking forward to your application!
