Job Description

Wizard of Paws Professional Dog Grooming and TrainingOur salon is looking for a professional dog groomer that is passionate about pups to join our team as we continue to grow and expand our business in Downtown Georgetown.Qualifications

  • Must be reliable, dedicated, hard working, respectful, energetic and cheerful
  • MUST LOVE DOGS of all breeds, sizes and temperaments, and be comfortable lifting large dogs
  • Must act professionally and not be afraid of getting dirty or wet
  • Must have an understanding of dog behaviour and be able to apply positive reinforcement training
  • Must be able to remain calm while grooming challenging dogs
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with clients, and understand their unique needs, educate them and make appropriate recommendations
  • Can perform pet and breed styles on dogs of all breeds
Requirements
  • Bring your own grooming tools (we will supply shampoo, tables, etc.)
  • Maintain sanitary workstation
  • Be able to work as a team or individually (self-motivated)
Working Hours
  • This position is part time, however full time hours can be arranged. Hourly, paid lunch break.
Previous Experience
  • Certification is preferred, but not required with 2-3 years of grooming experience
  • Pictures of previous grooms/gallery and references will be requested
