Job Description

Oakridge Landscape Contractors is looking for a Landscape Construction Lead Head. This position will involve assisting in the daily management of construction projects and includes the use of numerous types of related equipment.Job Details:

  • Position: Landscape Construction Lead Hand
  • Location: Hamilton, ON (covers Hamilton/Grimsby/St. Catharines/Niagara Falls areas)
  • Pay: $22-26 per hour (Benefits after 3 months)
Key Duties include:
  • Assist foreperson with the management of a crew of 3-6 people
  • Drive company truck and trailer
  • Read blueprints
  • Installation of natural stone (flag, armor, etc.)
  • Installation of interlock paving stone
  • Installation of precast pavers and retaining walls
  • Ability to dig holes (when needed), place soils, plant trees, and shrubs, etc.
  • Trim shrubs and evergreens
  • Candidates must have a keen attention to detail
Job Requirements:
  • Valid Driver’s License “G” is required
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Minimum of 2-5 years field experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
  • Strong knowledge of job safety and safe work habits
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work long hours and the occasional Saturday
