FibrePlate™, “Making the Impossible, Possible”Job SummaryThis position will provide leadership, coordination, and supervision to the Production Team. Responsible for the daily functions and activities, ensuring work assigned to the Production Team is completed in a safe, high quality and timely manner.Job Responsiblities

• Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Run the day-to-day activities on the manufacturing floor for safe and smooth manufacturing flow in line with production schedule.

• Assigns work to the Production Team Leads and Machine Operators, ensuring effective use of labour resources to achieve operational and company goals.

• Adjust and reassign labour resources to match changing priorities.

• Monitors and tracks employees’ punctuality and attendance and addresses non compliances with Company policy with support of HR.

• Ensure Team Leads and Machine Operators are following Safe work practices, SOP’s, and quality inspections.

• Train and cross train production operators to improve coverage and job rotation.

• Address and monitor scrap generators with quality and engineering personnel.

• Monitor usage of materials and scrap to ensure there is no excessive waste.

• Review SOP’s and compare with current practice, address discrepancies to ensure latest standard are followed.

• Communicate any workplace hazards to employees, escalate to have safety hazards addressed.

• Lead Team Huddles and report daily performance at daily production dashboard

• Provide training and written instructions to employees.

• Provide day to day directions to the production employees with respect to safety, quality, and productivity.

• Monitor and document production employees’ performance, and provide coaching and positive feedback.

• Escalate performance gaps and with the support of HR addresses performance gaps with coaching and progressive discipline.

• Monitor and report Production KPIs, remove obstacles and address issues as needed.

• Ensures 5S, Visual Management and Lean Manufacturing principles and practices are implemented and sustained on the production floor.

• Create and maintain a high safety culture on the production floor

• Reporting to the Director of Global Manufacturing

Experience/Skills

• 3+ years manufacturing experience is preferred
• 2-3 years working in a supervisory position
• Post-secondary degree/diploma in business admin/management
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Experience in 5S or lean manufacturing
• Excellent time management, planning and organzational skills

Working Conditions

• Production floor
• Monday to Friday days - with flexibility depending on production demands

Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per yearBenefits:
