Your new companyOur client is a mid-sized privately owned General Contractor with a progressive management style and friendly office environment. Despite the growth the company has seen over the years it continues to have a ‘small-company-feel’ and a real team atmosphere of which the principals of the company are extremely proud. The company has been very successful at establishing themselves as a ‘contractor of choice’ in the commercial construction sector and have ambitious plans to double their business volume in the coming years. They are well known for undertaking a variety of TI and ground up projects including restaurants, health facilities and banks. Your new roleThe company’s successful growth has resulted in the need to add an experienced Project Manager to the team. The position will offer the flexibility of hybrid working whereby you can split your time between the office in Surrey and remote working. As the Project Manager you will act as a key member of the project management team. You will direct the construction of varied commercial projects with values in the $1-10m range and be a primary point of contact for a variety of established and newly developed clients. What you’ll need to succeed Candidates should have 5+ years Project Management experience focusing on projects in the commercial construction sector here in Canada. Strength of character and a positive, friendly personality is of equal importance as any technical knowledge. The position will require an individual with outstanding organizational skills and an ability to liaise confidently with sophisticated clientele. You must be able to maintain open and clear communication with all party stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
