Job Description

Are you a senior electrical estimator with 5+ years of experience Are you looking to lead a team of your own If you answered yes, this is the opportunity for you!ABOUT OUR CLIENTOur client is an established electrical contractor in the Lower Mainland working on many exciting commercial and institutional projects. They have been in the industry for over 50 years and offer service and maintenance, BC Hydro Audits and Retrofits, and design-build. They are looking for a senior electrical estimator to join their team!ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYThis opportunity will allow you to lead the estimating team and help grow the business. As a senior estimator, you will be responsible for the entire bidding process and working with the Project Managers to ensure the success of projects.ABOUT THE POSITIONAs a senior estimator, you have been estimating for at least 5 years and have good relationships with other contractors. You will be bidding on hotels, processing plants, patient care facilities, and mixed-use residential projects. Other duties include:

  • Set-up estimating and take off processes on projects
  • Organizing the different subtrades as required
  • Maintain a positive work relationship with general contractors, consultants, and trade partners
  • Attend site meetings and contribute to meetings making recommendations to any risk or analysis for the scope of work
  • Tender and bid analysis work
  • People mentorship, growing out the team in time.
  • Managing fully fledging estimating, speaking with trades, change orders, drawing review, etc.
THE REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years experience as an electrical estimator
  • Estimated projects over $1.5 million
  • Proficiency in Accubid and/or Bluebeam
  • EV charging stations experience is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
COMPENSATION
  • $90k to $120k annual compensation based on experience
  • Extended Health and Dental benefits
  • 3 to 4 weeks of paid vacation
  • Discretionary bonus
