We provide innovative processing ideas, robust and reliable equipment, and comprehensive product support to our clients. Nexeed is recruiting a new Warehouse Assistant to our Headingley-based team.We are looking for a part time Warehouse Assistant, with experience in receipt/shipping of large equipment, who can work independently, keeping the warehouse organized and managing our parts inventory. The majority of the work is inside a heated building.Position Responsibilities: Reports to the Controller. This is a part time role with flexible hours (20-30 hours per week) with potential to grow to a full-time role. Attendance required at all receiving/shipping activities.Warehouse Receipts/Shipments:· Receive large equipment and unload from marine containers; check to purchase order and sign off on all items received with trucker.· Organize warehouse for efficient handling of product. Stage received product for inspections and future shipment.· Obtain shipping quotes from Trucking companies.· Ship out equipment to customers. Assist in tarping of load.Parts Inventory Management:· Receive in product; check to purchase orders and follow up on differences.· Put away received product; keep parts inventory organized.· Pick parts orders, place the shipping order, and pack parts for shipment.· Re-order product as it is sold. Maintain minimum/maximum inventory levels.· Perform cycle inventory counts. Work with Controller on reconciliation of inventory.Other Duties:· Keep warehouse and parts inventory room clean and clear of obstructions.· Maintenance of forklift; upkeep of a maintenance schedule.· Maintenance of company vehicle (oil changes; vehicle repairs; tire changes).· Shovelling of snow from sidewalks/landscaping maintenance.· General errands – pickup tools from suppliers; assemble screens for parts orders; make crates for parts shipments etc.Qualifications: · Previous experience in warehouse handling/inventory management an asset.· Ability to operate heavy machinery; experience with forklift operation an asset.· Driver’s license required; possibility of running errands outside of office.· Ability to lift heavy objects; other physical activities.· Experience with use of power tools.· Excellent organization and attention to detail.· Conscientious of workplace safety.· Positive & proactive attitude.· Ability to work independently, with minimal supervisionCompensation: $17-20/hr based on experience.
