Are you ready to help us make the futureKEY RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor and maintain software applications and websites to ensure they are functioning properly and performing optimally. Conduct regular system and website checks to identify and resolve any issues or bugs and ensure security protocols are being followed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, including development, IT, and security teams. Develop and maintain documentation on monitoring processes and procedures. Increase overall code, product, design and quality in the organization. Identify best practices for monitoring and improving software and website performance. Assist with software requirements specification and code reviews Assist with software design including occasional POC development. The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.Minimum 5-year experience of Java developmentMinimum 1 year experience of Agile/Scrum Methodologies WE VALUE Minimum 2 years of AWS experience Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes. Understanding of Linux and command scripting technologies such as Bash Experience with message queue systems (e.g. RabbitMQ) Good to have experience in configuring or installing cloud-based platforms and services such as Azure. Experience with SQL and noSQL databases such as MySQL, Postgres, and Mongo. Experience with logging stacks such as the Elastic stack (ElasticSearch, Kibana, Fluent-d) Proficient on working with GUIs developed using Angular/ Angular JS. Good understanding of Secure Development Lifecycle processes. Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools such as Jenkins. Familiarity with standard software development tools such as Git/Bitbucket, IntelliJ, sbt Experience working with and collaborating with a diverse and global team Effective communicator Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events. Can quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts. Nice to have Familiarity with GIS systems and mapping technologies.
