Job Description

The Activity Leader/Student Services Support: is responsible in organizing fun events and programs that bring students together and help them grow.He or She also handles essential administrative duties, and provide student supports, all contributing to a well-rounded and fulfilling college journey. Activity Leader/ Student Service Administrator’s Responsibilities: Activity Leader

  • Plan, implement, and monitor student activities both on and off VanWest Vancouver campus.
  • Promote daily activities, special events, and at new student orientations and city tours.
  • Previously confirm reservations if applicable.
  • Lead Out-of-school Activities.
  • Take high-quality pictures of activities and post on Social Media.
  • Be friendly, outgoing, and approachable at all times with all students.
  • Make sure students are using English and are engaged.
  • Remain at the activity site for a minimum of 1 hour (transit/travel time not included).
  • Make sure underage students are with you at all times.
  • Receive payment, and collect required documents (ex/waivers).
  • Organize and maintain documents and information required for paid tours and activities.
  • Supervise receipt of monies and collection of required documents maintaining up-to-date record expenses.
  • Develop a monthly calendar; to be completed at the deadline manager assigned.
  • Run large-scale events for major holidays or signature events such as Culture Day – max once monthly.
Student Services Support
  • Manage and process the complete enrollment cycle for successful admissions in ESL and vocational programs;
  • Provide counseling and guidance to students;
  • Support new students with arrivals and departures on weekends;
  • Conduct student orientation on their first day;
  • Receive and verify required documents from partner agencies and international students;
  • Assist with enrollment changes, accommodation arrangements, airport services, and health insurance;
  • Counsel current students to enhance their experience and support their academic journey.
  • Other duties as required.
