Job Description

Commissionaires has a strong reputation in the security industry. We are a Canadian, not-for-profit security/enforcement organization that has been in business since 1927. Our mandate is to give back to those who served and continue to serve in our communities and country.Commissionaires services over 200 sites and are located in over 110 communities across the province. Our client base runs from the federal government to local municipalities, airports, industrial sectors, and commercial/residential buildings.We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Operations team in Kelowna as the Client Services Manager for our southern interior BC contracts.Salary: $75,000 per annum plus gas/mileage Major Responsibilities  

  • Regularly meet with client to discuss staffing requirements, identify client concerns and to facilitate proactive service delivery
  • Explore opportunities for business growth with existing clients and potential clients
  • Conduct site visits to monitor operations ensuring service is in compliance with quality standards and client requirements
  • Conduct and document site risk assessments, in accordance with existing policies and procedures
  • Review, monitor and facilitate the production of post orders (site duties and requirements)
  • Initiate and suggest continuous improvement opportunities related to increased efficiency, cost effectiveness and quality of services
  • Track expenditures, in particular overtimeamp; training, to ensure responsible resource management
  • Maintain ISO standards and conduct follow-up action on ISO audit reports, investigating any issues such as safety concerns, high levels of absenteeism and/or overtime
  • Contribute to the maintenance of Lone Worker monitoring protocols and system
  • Cross departmental collaboration for continuous improvement
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
People Management
  • Create an environment for positive employee relations by using sound judgment and working with human resources to ensure the fair and consistent treatment of all employees
  • Build and support a high-performance team through the effective leadership and management of people
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership to site supervisors, ensuring they have the information, support, equipment and required kit needed to successfully perform their delegated responsibilities
  • Conduct investigationsamp; complete required investigation reports as per established standards and protocols.
  • Works with recruitment team to ensure effective placement of employees
  • Identify training needs and facilitate on-site training as required
  • Conduct safety meetings and discussions on a regular basis, including direct participation as a member of the Healthamp; Safety Committee
Educationamp; KnowledgeEducation: post-secondary degree or diploma in management or business administration or equivalent professional experience. Criminology degree or related field preferred. Experience: 5 to 7 years of relevant experience such as policing, security, or military along with 3 years’ experience at a supervisory or management level, demonstrating excellent leadership skills Skills and Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Able to work cooperatively with clients, senior management, peers, co-workers and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Provide 24/7, on-call management and security coverage on a rotational basis, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Occasional travel required to remote sites within British Columbia
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Customer service driven with mediationamp; conflict resolution skills
  • Proactive team leader with excellent problem solving skills
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Advanced computer skills and the ability to learn in-house software programs
  • Valid clean BC Driver’s License
  • Valid BC Security License or ability to obtain
  • Working towards CPP or PSP designation
Required Security Clearances  
  • Public Works and Governments Services Canada (PWGSC) Basic Reliability and Secret Clearance (must be a Canadian permanent resident or citizen to obtain this clearance)
  • Must consent to a Criminal Background Check
